“The Festival of Trees” at the Loughran House: A Designer Showcase on the grounds of the Senate House State Historic Site

“The Festival of Trees” at the Loughran House (circa 1870) is a holiday celebration featuring a collection of designer-inspired Holiday Trees. While the Lawns of the Senate House will feature an array of lighted holiday trees, the interior of the Loughran House will feature a dazzling display of individually-decorated holiday Trees designed by florists, event planners, interior designers, and fashion designers.

The list of participants includes:

Hops Petunia Floral Design(Kingston, NY), FRED(High Falls, NY), Exit Nineteen(Kingston, NY), Light House – Home & Entertaining Essentials(Saugerties, NY), The Green Cottage Floral Designs(High Falls, NY), The Gilded Carriage (Woodstock, NY), Petalos Floral Design(Kingston, NY), The Gilded Thistle Floral Designs(Stoneridge, NY), Mark Haldeman with James Aguiar and John Zerbo.

The Festival of Trees will be augmented by Contemporary Art, by Hudson Valley Artists, from the gallery of Cross Contemporary Art (Saugerties, NY). Additionally, Milne’s At Home Antiques and Design (Kingston, NY) will be lending antiques from their extensive collection of Folk Art to enhance the decor of the Loughran House.

“The Festival of Trees” will open to the public at 5 pm on Friday December 2nd, in conjunction with the Kingston Uptown Business Association’s annual Snowflake Festival. On Saturday December 3, 10-4, the Senate House Museum will serve as the Map Pick Up site for the Junior League of Kingston’s 16th Annual Holly Berry Trail. The Loughran House will be the Senate House’s showcase for the 2016 Trail.

During the week of December 5-10, the Loughran House will be open for Appointment-Only Tours.

On Saturday December 10, the Loughran House will be open from 5:30- 7pm, for an invitation-only fundraising Event. As a highlight of the 2016 Festival of Trees, a number of the Designer Trees within the Loughran House will be available for silent auction. Sealed bids for the available trees maybe placed from December 2- December 10.What a terrific way to have a custom-designed Christmas Tree as a holiday accent for your home! Proceeds from the Designer Tree Sales will help to further expand the Senate House State Historic Site’s Educational Programs.
